New Display allows to create a new map from a library of thematic displays.
New Area allows to create a new map from a chosen geographic area.
In the window Choose a Geographic level you can select a pre-defined map (World by continents; USA by states;etc) or select your own map (Need more maps ?) in the section Custom Maps
The chosen geographic area has to be similar to the data of the Excel file.
Click on Choose a file to select a *.vxf map. (C&D format)
Here, for an example we choose the map of the french departements
