Our company and the Environment
As any concerned company, we take actions to prevent global warming, and adopt an eco-citizen behavior.
To achieve this, we developed many habits over the years:
Integrated to our technological offer:
- Deliveries : we limit the use of cd-roms and favor the online delivery of our products, thanks to downloading links. No paper/cardboard produced, no transportation, only the use of FTP links for significant files.
- After Sale Services : All our communications are done over phone and email, as well as software installations, with no need for on-site support.
- Training : We developed an e-learning platform that nowadays represents over 30% of our trainings.
- Sales : 90% of our sales are made through online methods, such as web demos, phone calls and the systematic proposal of online trainings vs. in-class trainings.
Integrated to our enterprise culture:
- We produce energy on our own, thanks to the turbine of the mill we work into.
- We control the paper, ink and printer consumption : no flyers, no brochures. We only print when necessary to limit our ink consumption. All invoices are sent on a pdf format. We also provide administrative documents in an electronic form, when available, and use an electronic certificate to transmit official documents.
- We use online tools, such as Adobe Connect for every meeting involving the Articque’s subsidiaries, personnel, prospects and customers.
Ecologist behaviour
- We chose to adapt our equipments to help reduce our carbon print, such as the use of heat pumps, energy-saving bulbs or move detector to pilot lights. We ask our teams not to overheat the offices, using programmers, and maintaining the temperature to thanks to reversible air-conditioning.
- We recycle consumables (ink cartridges, cardboard, paper, etc.)
- We limit car travels, and choose train over car, metro or bus over taxis. Many Articque’s employees use bicycles or walk to the office.
- We ask for organic products to the restaurants that welcome our trainees.
Committed consumer
- We use a maximum of fair trade products for our employees’ daily consumption.
- Local roots : we try to do business with local providers, to avoid long-distance transportation and favor the local development.
The use of our technologies for environmental purposes:
- Brittany bay watches: When the oil tanker ERIKA grounded off the coasts of Brittany in 1999, Articque decided to give the residents an online application that would allow every citizen to register and then debrief over the beaches state, the number of volunteers available to clean them, etc.
