How to install Map In XL?

After downloading Map In XL, extract the package in a temporary directory. Launch “Setup.exe” to install Map In XL. It will install all the necessary, and not yet installed, packages (Microsoft®™ .NET Framework 3.5, Windows®™ Installer 3.1, Microsoft Office®™ 2007 PIA, VSTO 3.0 SP1). Make sure you accept the terms conditions.

This product has to be installed for each user on a same computer, that why the default install location is the home user directory.

Warning: to install (but not to use) Map In XL, you must be the final user and must have administrator’s rights.

How to activate Map In XL?

After purchasing Map In XL on our website, you receive a confirmation email containing your new license(s) information.

At the end of the Map In XL installation, you will be asked to activate your product. If you don’t want to activate it at this moment, Map In XL will automatically be uninstalled.

The simplest way to activate your product is with the online functionality. But you can activate Map In XL without being connected to Internet.

Internet Activation:

In this case, copy your license ID (that you can find in the email or following this link: http://www.mapinxl.com/en/secure/license) and paste it in the text area, then click on "Activate". This automatic procedure will register your product and you will be able to use MapInXL after closing the installation window.

Manual Activation:

First of all, copy the "computer code" that you can find in the activation window, and then go to the Map In XL website to create your activation code: http://www.mapinxl.com/en/secure/license.

In the "Activation Code Generator" area, select the license corresponding to your product and type your computer code. Click on "Generate", copy the generated key into the text area of the activation window and finish by clicking on "Activate". This manual procedure will register your product and you will be able to use Map In XL after closing the installation window.
