Your first map with MapInXL
Before starting
We propose to create a first map together step by step for a quick understanding of the interface and the functionalities of mapInXL. This tutorial will guide you through the creation of a thematic map of the United States, comparing two numeric data : a number of customers of a fictive compagny with sized symbols, and the custormers rate with a color gradient.
During this tutorial, we will use the "sample_firstMap.xlsx" file that contains a training data set.
This file is located in the "samples" folder of your MapInXL software, that can be found inside:
Windows Vista: "C:\Users\session_name\AppData\Roaming\Articque\MapInXL\…"
Windows XP: "C:\Documents and Settings\session_name\Application Data\Articque\MapInXL\…"
