Pie Charts

Description

These sectors are parts of a whole, which means that the input data sets must be related. As an example, this would be used, by a retailer, to represent the sales ratio of each product he sells. This can also represent the part of each age bracket of a population.

Each surface of the working map receives a circle divided into sectors (one for each input). Each sector has its own color.

Input data

Quantitative and numeric data for each sector.

Properties

Each property can be changed according to two methods: directly with the ribbon, or indirectly with the dialog boxes. These boxes contain more information and appear by double-clicking on the working map selection.

Size and Angle

If the box Proportional is ticked circle surface will be proportional to the data sum, and the caption will be complete. If the box Proportional is not ticked all circles will have the same surface. At first the pie size is automatic. If the box Automatic size is not selected you can choose the size of the pies. The unit is the same than the map.

The box Angle allows to create partial circle. 360 = a full circle ; 180 = half a circle.

Colors

The table Columns matches classes and colors. The row table number equals the number of data columns. Pre-defined palettes can be chosen (Spring, Autumn, Grey, etc) but each class color can be changed by clicking on its color zone.

You can modify the titles for each caption (Pie and proportional) and the font.

At first the caption size is automatic. If the box Automatic size is un-selected you can choose the caption size.

Number precision allows to choose the number of numerals before and after the comma.

Caption steps allows to choose the number of class to represent proportional data. Limit values can be modified after un-selecting Automatic caption values.
